Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction

Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction

5

According to Faraday's Law, an emf is induced in a closed loop when the magnetic flux through the loop changes with time: \[ \mathcal{E} = -\frac{d\Phi_B}{dt} \] In this simulation, the blue arrows represent the magnetic field \( \vec{B} \). As \( B \) increases or decreases over time, the magnetic flux through the surface changes and induces a current. Use the slider to change the rate at which the magnetic field varies. The induced emf is shown by the rotating direction of current arrows.
